Hope

This mural was just completed
a few blocks from my house
at the organization where my husband works
where there is now a whole intersection
of abandoned buildings
being made whole
made to live in
by women overcoming addiction

on this crazy avenue
there is now room to pause
and glance into the sun
shining through the trees.
